Greetings from the East!

My Brothers,

As I sit behind the glowing screen of my laptop, I can’t help but reminisce on the past month. Many things happened during May, most notably, a positive upswing in our great fraternity. From the degree, we had at the beginning of the month, to the indoor and outdoor gathering numbers increasing, and, with that, candidates, petitioners, and absent Brethren returning with renewed vigor and interest in who we are and what we do.

My Brothers, let us show them just that!

Who are we?

What do we do?

Are we just that “group of guys” to hang out with? Or are we the friendship, stability, and mentors we claim to be in all our social media posts?

Are we just a bunch of guys that sip whiskey and wax poetic? Or are we a gathering of gentlemen who discuss serious topics, knowing the other person may disagree, but maintain the knowledge that this man is our Brother, with whom we will harbor no ill will?

Let us show these gentlemen, both the new faces and the ones coming out of their dens, that we have remained strong throughout this time apart. That we have not forgotten the contributions made by the men who came before us, all while also embracing the changing future landscape.

That we are builders and this temple of Freemasonry is always growing.

Fraternally,
WM Andrew
